Experience the simple and casual coastal comfort of this modern beach home, situated just steps above the sand of beautiful Sunshine Cove, and just 7 minutes drive south of Batemans Bay CBD. There is not a power line, a road, a fence or a cliff to separate you from the ocean, and your own secluded beach.
Hundreds of guests have stayed over the past 15 years. Without fail, they say they love both the natural environment touching the Cove, and the home itself, with lots of surprising creature comforts. All linen and towels are supplied, and full breakfast for the first day or two.
THE HOME
The home is furnished and presented as a place for 2 couples, or a small family, to take a break from city or work pressures. Note.....PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
There are 2 bedrooms with 2 queen beds. Bedrooms are on different levels and each has its own bathroom and balcony, and there are spaces throughout the home where either privacy or sociability can be enjoyed.
The home is on 3 levels, so is wheelchair inaccessible. The ground floor entry level has a 2-car lock up garage with remotes, and also a fully equipped laundry.
The mid level has kitchen, dining room and living room, all with great ocean views. Also on this level is a bedroom and bathroom. This mid level also has 3 balconies, with the oceanfront balcony leading down 3 steps to a courtyard which has outside dining.
The third level is a master bedroom suite with expansive ocean views. There is a walk-through dressing room, full ensuite bathroom featuring a large shower with its own ocean view, a 2+ person spa, lounge area, and a small kitchen with everything for preparing early morning tea/coffee and toast.
ESSENTIALS AND ADDED TOUCHES
FEELING AT HOME : It's important to vacation without having to take your own linen and all the pantry items. For this reason and many more, guests at theCOVE North frequently say they feel immediately at home. You will have clear entry instructions, good fore-knowledge of what to expect on first entry, and even food on hand for supper should you arrive at night.
QUALITY LINEN SUPPLIED AT NO COST : You need bring no bed linen, bath towels, hand towels, or bath mat. Even a beach towel is supplied for every person. Every bed has 4 pillows.... 2x softer + 2x firmer. Blankets and throws are luxury alpaca. If needed, a complimentary spare set of linen, bath towels and beach towels is in the laundry cupboard.
YOUR COMFORT : You will have climate-control in all seasons. Both living levels have reverse-cycle air-conditioning, and your slow-combustion wood heater has complimentary wood supplied May 1 to Oct 15. The master bedroom has a ceiling fan. Each bedroom has its own balcony.
BREAKFAST SUPPLIED : Your group will wake up with full breakfast to cook for the first morning or two..... a dozen free range eggs, lots of bacon, Greek yoghurt, fresh juice, cheese, Burgen loaf in the freezer, a choice of muesli/granola, and uht milk. And of course, an espresso machine with unlimited coffee pods, milk frother, and a wide selection of teas.
GOURMET-FRIENDLY : your 3 night minimum encourages settling in more deeply..... not just trying the many local cafes and restaurants, but also dining at home, and with style. All kitchen appliances, cookware and serving ware are good quality, including induction cooktop. Don't visit the local supermarket until you check the Cove's pantry and fridge. We have a totally open kitchen with most cooking staples available with no obligation to replenish. There are many great cookbooks also.
LEISURE, ENTERTAINMENT & TECHNOLOGY : you will enjoy free WiFi and 3 LED TVs.. The lounge TV is 55in smart OLED TV, WiFi capable, Netflix/Stan/Freeview apps, 4K UHD BlueRay player for DVDs and music CDs, 5.1 surround sound available, Bluetooth sound bar (on both living levels). There is a large DVD library, and board games are in the TV unit. The two Hobie kayaks are available for exploring the numerous small cove beaches to the South between Sunshine Cove and Denhams Beach. Snorkel gear is near the kayaks. You have the choice of 2 BBQ's, one a Weber Q. Your two-person spa (maybe three!!) has soothing, heated jets and scented candles. A picnic backpack in the laundry has all the accessories needed to get the most from your coastal bush walk.
THE LOCAL ENVIRONMENT : You are in the heart of the Batemans Bay Marine Park together with the many National Parks in the Eurobodalla. Check out the folder with my own favourite beaches and walks. Even your two immediate headlands have clifftop walking paths with wonderful views. Take time to explore your own Cove. Leave your bedroom door open in the morning for abundant birdlife and the sounds and smells of the ocean, whether calm or angry.
