The Blue Crab is a modern, spacious 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom beach house with amazing views over Moreton Bay. You’ll enjoy the well-stocked kitchen, two separate living spaces and internal and external dining areas. Every room comes with a fantastic view. We are located right beside the stairs leading to Tangalooma Resort to which our guests have full access. Our guests love the privacy and peace that comes with being set on the hilltop. Drive directly to the house, no carrying your supplies long distances. You’ll find it is little bit special in the Bayview neighbourhood
This property is located up on the hill behind Tangalooma Resort, it is easier access with a 4wd. The home is not set up and equipped for disabled guests in wheel chairs or needing assistance. Wifi can be purchased through the resort reception desk
LINEN HIRE: Linen Hire is not included in the price of this booking. If guests require Linen Hire, such as sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, hand towels etc there is an additional fee of $30 per person per stay. Beds are made up as requested.

Guests do have access to Tangalooma Island Resort and the pools/activities during their stay. Dolphin feeding is not included in the rental.
The rental pricing does not include linen such as sheets, towels, bath mats, hand towels and tea towels. If you do not wish t provide your own linen, linen can be hired at a fee of $30 per person per stay.
Tenants are required to provide their own toiletries. Soap, washing powder and additional toilet rolls beyond the initial supply of one per toilet are not supplied with the property.
BRINGING A 4WD:
As Moreton Island is a sand Island (3rd largest in the world) the only vehicles that operate on the Island are 4WD.
Providing your vehicle is a 4WD, you can drive it on the island as all the tracks on the island are built for 4WD vehicles only.
It is not recommended to bring an All-Wheel Drive vehicle across as they are too low for adequate ground clearance of the tracks.
The MiCat vehicle and passenger Ferry from Howard Smith Drive, Lytton at the Port of Brisbane to the Tangalooma Wrecks is the only vehicle Ferry operating between Brisbane and Tangalooma, therefore early bookings are essential so contact their website www.moretonislandadventures.com.au for information on bookings.
NO 4WD?
If you will not be bringing a 4WD vehicle to the Island you will need to catch the Tangalooma Resort Passenger Launch which departs from Holt Street Wharf, Pinkenba and travels to the Tangalooma Resort Jetty at least twice daily. A gated car park is available at Holt St. Wharf for a fee. Bookings are essential. Please refer to the Tangalooma Resort website for further details and charges www.tangalooma.com.
GUESTS NAMES FOR SECURITY:
Prior to arriving, we do require ALL guest’s full names, (first and last names) to be provided, as we are required as an agent to provide these details to Tangalooma Resort for security purposes. As the resort area is now closed to non-resort guests, if you or your guests are not on the resort security/guests list, and are stopped by a security guard or duty manager at any time, you can be denied any access to the resort, making for an unpleasant holiday at Tangalooma.
DAMAGES:
If any damages occur during your stay, we will then deduct up to $1500.00 from your provided credit card. If any damages do incur at the property during your stay, it is the best practice to advise us immediately, not after you have vacated.
DOLPHIN FEEDING:
The dolphin feeding experience is not included in any stay at this property. The property is privately owned and therefore not in the actual resort accommodation allowing guests free dolphin feeding. You are welcome to attend the jetty seating to watch the dolphin feeding but no free feeding experience is included. If you do have a requirement to take part in the dolphin feeding, we do advise it is best for you to book your accommodation directly with the Tangalooma Island Resort office.
NO PETS OR ANIMALS
Guests can not bring any pets, service animals or assistance animals on holiday to stay at any of our properties if we believe an animal has been staying at any property you will be charged additional cleaning and pest control, carpet cleaning fees at your expense.
