Vacation time is precious.
And, when you do get the chance to wipe off the burrs of city living, you want the beach dream to be realised. You want floor-to-ceiling windows drenched in the endless blues of the ocean. If you've got kids you want 'em to be able to run their legs into the ground. At night you want to be able to warm in front of a fire with a bottle of wine from a local estate.
Well, welcome to the cliff top, view-soaked grounds of The Beach House Phillip Island. It is one of those rare properties with both panoramic views of Berrys Beach but with farm-like proportions (two acres, if you want specifics).
The ocean views can be enjoyed from every room, even more so from the master bedroom's deep bath.
You like to explore? The track to Pyramid Rock is a 20-minute walk to the lookout and the views, well, they're something else. You'll see the local wallaby population going about their business, too.
Berrys beach is ideal for surfing and is 150 metres down the road. Thaw out post-surf in the hot outdoor shower.
Outside, there are two oversized decks. Drink in the sunset, take a drink, check the surf.
Two acres means there's plenty of grass areas for hosting a picnic, kicking the leather around, playing a game of cricket or watching a tennis match. Plus, we now have a dedicated kids TV/Playroom to let them have their space.
Tennis? Beach House is one of the very few holiday rental properties on Phillip Island with a private full-sized tennis court. Bring your rackets and balls and loose those hams!
The property is partly fenced, the front overlooking the ocean is not, but instead lined with scrub. There is a dam on the property which is fenced, but we recommend that children are supervised at all times. There is a great spot to fly a kite if there is a bit of wind and there is a few toys to keep them entertained.
The lounge room hosts a fireplace (wood provided), cosy couches and a flat-screen TV/DVD Player.
There are three bedrooms all with built in robes, the master suite with the to-die-for bath we spoke about earlier. All up, the house can accommodate eight comfortably.

There is a SEVEN night minimum stay required for all bookings during the December/January period. Please contact us for any long term rentals.

There is NO wifi. Hard to believe I know. But our kids have become addicted to their screens and they just know that at the beach house, they can't get on the internet - that's it! Only good old fashioned playing outside, kicking a ball, surfing, tennis, board games etc are the options.
The property uses tank water. There is a filtered water tap on the kitchen sink, but if you are at all concerned, then we recommend bringing bottled water with you for drinking.
We are located not far from the Phillip Island Winery and highly recommend a stop on the way to pick up a few wonderful reds, perhaps a crisp Sauvignon blanc or buttery chardonnay.
We prefer that you don't bring your pets. The property is not fully fenced and with birds nests in the scrub on the cliff top and wallabies on the lawn and in the surrounding reserve, it is a dog's paradise. Though you need to be aware that on council land there are regular bait traps which if eaten, does not end well for dogs.
