Positioned at the base of Mt Buller, Hume House is a fabulous year-round destination. Make it a luxe home base for your mountain adventures, or cosy up in front of the electric faux log fire with a book and your favourite beverage.
On an acre of land and surrounded by mountains, the light-filled, contemporary living spaces have a nod to mid-century styling with a mix of vintage and contemporary furniture and Slim Aarons prints, and open out to a full-length verandah, with a sweeping lawn down to the Delatite.
All bedrooms are large and look out onto the river. We’ve also popped a desk in each room so Hume House is perfect for remote working.
Comfort and warmth have been considered throughout, with electric heaters installed in each bedroom, that I can switch on remotely for the cosiest of stays.

FOR THE PETS
We are pet friendly by application, as we'd like to discuss before you book. It’s important to note that the property is not fenced. Dogs are not allowed within the Mt Stirling Alpine Resort (beyond the tollgate) under any circumstance. However, there are lots of pooch-friendly hikes nearby. Most Mansfield and nearby restaurants are dog friendly, especially Delatite Winery and Merrijig Motor Inn.
WINTER ADVENTURES
Ski hire is available from the Sebel Pinnacle Valley Resort or Merrijig Motor Inn. Guests of Hume House Merrijig receive a 10% discount at the Merrijig Motor Inn. Set yourself up the night before so that you can get an early start on the slopes.
The Mansfield Mt Buller bus service operates throughout the ski season. Passengers can be picked up from the Sebel Pinnacle Valley Resort, located across the road from Hume House. For bus timetables and bookings, please see https://www.mmbl.com.au and please note that bookings are essential.
