Do you want to stay somewhere special that isn’t your run-of-the-mill apartment or house in Sydney? This unique townhouse is filled with everything you need to make you feel comfortable, yet quirky with the use of natural exposed brick and nestled in one of the oldest inner parts of Sydney. The exposed brick is carried through the whole house upstairs as well as down to give that special rustic warmth. The Space: The downstairs has one bedroom with wall mounted TV, kitchen, with fold away table and outside is a large dining table underneath an awning which spills out into a courtyard. Venture upstairs in this desirable little 1880s terrace house and you will arrive at a cozy little sitting area. Off the sitting area there is a modern bathroom with spacious shower on one side and another very spacious master bedroom, again with another wall mounted TV a ladder which leads up into a loft. Ideal for a fifth person staying as there is an air mattress if needed. Bed Configuration The property has 2 bedroom and 2 beds. Bedroom 1: Queen size bed (sleep 2) Bedroom 2: Queen size bed (sleep 2) The Neighborhood: From galleries and theatre to restaurants and markets, Chippendale is a hip inner Sydney neighbourhood. An easy walk from Central Station and Chinatown, you’ll find plenty of things to do and see, including the Kensington Street ‘eat street’ and the Seymour Centre’s exhilarating shows. Stroll along the streets and admire colonial heritage, such as the old Kent Street Brewery and terrace houses, and the 21st century vertical garden at Central Park, a residential and shopping complex. The colourful Brewery Yard Markets are held on the Central Park green twice a month on a Sunday. Discover the amazing vertical garden on towering Central Park, admire colonial heritage and stroll along the delicious Kensington Street ‘eat street’ in Chippendale, near Central Station. You’ll find acclaimed art galleries such as the White Rabbit Gallery and see great shows at the Seymour Centre. Your tastebuds are in for a treat, too. Chippendale is a dining hotspot, with innovative chefs creating moreish dishes. You’ll find a delectable range of restaurants to suit various budgets. The award-winning Automata is in the beautifully restored Old Clare Hotel on flavoursome Kensington Street. Getting Around: Transport This is an ideal location as far as transport goes as it is a ten minute walk into the city from the house and only a short walk to Central Station where you can connect to the airport line train. Buses run up nearby Broadway which will take you down to Circular Quay if you prefer instead of the train. Commercial area The eastern side of Chippendale, being adjacent to the CBD has a greater mix use than other parts of the suburb. It includes smaller offices and warehouses as well as cafes and pubs. Chippendale has also more recently become known as one of the key creative art districts of Sydney, with more than a dozen galleries in the small neighbourhood (including White Rabbit Gallery which is just around the corner, MOP Projects, and Pine Street Creative Arts Centre). Various creative events in the suburb also take place each year such as the Beams Festival. Artist residencies were offered with the cooperation of Frasers during the construction of Central Park and Chippendale houses a lively creative community.
