Melody Farm Cottage is a newly built home, designed to soothe your soul and provide peace and comfort while away from home. You will enjoy close proximity to Noosa's iconic natural beauty and the hidden treasures to be found on the Sunshine Coast while being secluded in the heart of the Noosa Hinterland, away from the crowds and noise.
You deserve to indulge in Melody Farm Cottage's finest fixtures and creature comforts. Be pampered by luxury linens, wake up to birdsong and simply relax.
The space
Set on 1.5 acres of manicured gardens, Melody Farm Cottage is nestled amongst a handful of old Hoop Pine trees and just behind our newly planted fruit orchard. A brand new home that looks as though it has been there forever.
Please note, while we live in the main residence on the property (which can be seen in the photos on the listing), it is unlikely you will see us or hear us. Our guests privacy is of utmost importance to us.
As our guests, you will have your own private, clearly marked driveway separate to that of our main home for your complete privacy and convenience. We have thoughtfully designed each aspect of the cottage to ensure you feel the complete seclusion and privacy you crave when on holiday.
You will be charmed by the cottage's warm farmhouse feel and impressed by the thoughtful details that surround. Wake up each morning to birdsong and our treasured native wildlife. Melody Farm Cottage backs onto 'Birdsong Park', a wildlife reserve that has a handful of wallaby families who frequently hop around the cottage. If you are lucky, you might see a joey!
Based on bedding arrangements, the Cottage is suitable for up to four people plus a baby as we do have a lovely portacot that is available if required.
The master bedroom offers guests a Queen bed and large walk-in robe to help you stay organised during your stay. The master bedroom has a second television so you can watch your favourite movie while relaxing in bed. The master also has direct access to the two-way bathroom which acts like your ensuite. Window dressings have been thoughtfully designed to allow for full block out roller blinds and also sheer curtains for those times you would like to let more of the natural light in.
The second bedroom consists of two comfortable single beds. Fully built in robes offer plenty of storage and plantation shutters allow you to darken the room for a peaceful sleep in.
With soaring raked ceilings, the kitchen, dining and lounge area feels spacious, and you will love that you have an abundance of quality kitchen utensils and appliances to cook up a storm with ease. Knives are always sharp, and cutlery and crockery are plentiful, so you always feel you have an abundance of what you need.
You will be delighted with the selection of essential pantry items available during your stay. Aside from a broad range of teas, coffees, chai and hot chocolate drinks, you will also be equipped with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, range of spices, salt, pepper, and individual portions of vegemite, jam, peanut butter, marmalade, butter, full cream milk, sugar and sugar alternatives.
For guests who would like additional food items stocked and ready upon their arrival, we do offer a grocery service to save a trip to the store when you arrive at the cottage.
Double doors lead from the kitchen to your very own private outdoor entertaining area complete with Ziegler and Brown BBQ.
Travelling with kids? Melody Farm is the perfect stay for you. Melody Farm is delighted to offer our youngest guests:
- 30 meter zip line for kids to soar down the hill! (under strict parental supervision only)
- An old restored Massey Ferguson tractor situated at the front of the property for the kids to climb on and play. A gorgeous photo opportunity!
- Two children's kayaks are available at no charge for exclusive use of Melody Farm Cottage guests.
- A flat lawned area for the cottage guests exclusive use. Perfect for the kids to have a good run around and kick a ball.
- Lawn games and other outdoor toys.
Guest access
The entire cottage is yours to enjoy. You will also have access to your own flat lawned area, perfect for the kids to run around and kick a ball! Outdoor chairs and table are set up there perfectly positioned for Mum and Dad to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the kids have a good run around.
Feel free to roam the fruit tree orchard and take some photos of the kids playing on the restored old tractor situated at the front of the property.
Other things to note
We have two children's kayaks available for our guests. If you have children, they would be delighted to go to Lake Weyba and kayak safely in the shallow salt waters there (less than a 10 minute drive from the cottage).
