Traveling on foot:, catch the train to cleveland, then the free bus to the ferry terminal. catch the stradbroke or gold cats flier to stradbroke island, the journey is approximately 25 minutes, hourly ferries depart from cleveland, catch the local bus to manta lodge, alight at the second bus stop as you enter point lookout, traveling by car:, drive to cleveland and book onto the stradbroke car ferry, the journey is approximately 50 minutes. once at dunwich, take the road to point lookout and turn at the first left street, children are welcome, but are not permitted to stay in dormitory rooms. if children are 18 or under, they will need a parent/legal guardian to stay with them in a private room. please note that children under 2 can stay free, but cots are not provided, guests must bring their own.guests are required to show a photo id and credit card upon check-in. please note that all special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply, please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Positive: Location location location, cold aircon & great staff. This is just a bit of feed back for the double rooms, I'd love to see a little upgrade into like a mini suite, with comfy Queen bed (with no bunk over) a bedside table, keep the desk and add a second chair. Perhaps use half the hanging space for some shelves. The fridge was also not cold enough to keep diary products like milk. Some laminate on the space where the jug and cups etc are would make it easier to clean.

Negative: My only dislike is that the rooms adjacent to the bathrooms can hear everything that goes on in there because the doors to the hallways are always open. My suggestion for a budget fix would be to install QUIET self closing doors.

Summary: Best kept secret on Straddie. Quiet, Aircon, Affordable and you can't beat the location.
