Welcome to ‘The Palms’.
Our resort styled three bedroom home, offers a tranquil escape away from the hustle of the city but close enough to still enjoy all of its offerings. Unwind amoung the leafy, lush tropical gardens and relax in style and comfort.
The Space:
Master Bedroom with Ensuite:
King sized bed with ample wardrobe and storage. Views of the front garden.
Bedroom two:
Queen sized bed, with close access to the main bathroom and separate toilet. No garden view.
Bedroom three:
King single sized bed, with close access to the main bathroom and separate toilet. No garden view.
The home offers two living spaces, one in the main house area, along side the kitchen/dining, great for those who like to be part of the action. The other, fondly nicknamed ‘The Garden Room’, which is a fun space that looks out over the rear tropical garden.
The Garden Room is our favourite spot in the house and a fantastic place to sit and watch a lightening storm, cuddled up by the fire, or to escape the main house noise and take five to relax and enjoy the garden view.
The large glass bifold doors open out to the rear garden, so you can drink your coffee or a glass of wine, while you take in the fresh garden air.
This space has been intentionally styled to represent a kitsch, slightly retro and a little bit pink flamingo, and has a sense of humour. The kids will love it, and they can even spot the Flamingos in the garden!
If putting your feet up, isn’t your jam and you want to use the peace and quiet to knuckle down and get some work done, our dedicated home office, equipped with large Apple iMac for guest use, is available.
The kitchen is spacious enough for two to comfortably cook together, and is equipped with most things one would need to prepare a range of culinary delights.
In the adjacent sideboard, you’ll find a small wine rack to store your local wine purchases, or you can while away some time looking at the South Australian key spots to visit booklets, and plot your daily itinerary.
If you’re a card player, there’s even some playing cards for you to use!
At the end of our street, just a 20 meter stroll away, you’ll find our lovely local oval, with natural creek, two playgrounds, a cricket pitch, football goals, and basketball/netball half court.
Up the hill a little, is the Happy Valley Reservoir which is very nice to walk around and you can even grab a coffee at the pop up coffee van to take on the walk with you!
This is a prime spot to see the local Kangaroos, as they graze and laze the day away. Sorry, feeding Kangaroos is not allowed.
If you’re a wine lover like us, you’ll be itching to head down to McLaren Vale or up to the Adelaide Hills , to sip and savour some of the liquid delights from the respective wineries within either of these well known and regarded regions. If you find a great drop, be sure to let us know!
