Summary: The house was well designed and had a lovely west facing Brisbane Water outlook looking towards Booker Bay, Ettalong Beach and Umina Beach area down to Ocean Beach in the distance. The house was clean and well-equipped, though the veranda/balcony insect screening was in need or repair (or removal). Although the location was central in terms of the southern half of the Central Coast, it was at the end of a 5min windy coastal drive from the through route. Also note that there are 30 steps from the carport down to the house's front door. Better to arrive in daylight the first time. We had some difficulty communicating with the agent. Given we were there for only 2 nights and the latish 3pm check-in, we asked if there was a booking leaving that morning and if not would an early check-in be possible. We were told to ring a couple of days before the booking which we did - three times over the Saturday, each time finding voicemail and leaving a message including a request for a call-back. Finally we received an SMS stating they needed to wait to see when the cleaners and concierge would be able to sign off on the property. It seemed that the question about whether there had been a booking on the previous night had been forgotten or perhaps they cleaned prior to a booking rather than after one. The communications and apparently inflexible arrangements were frustrating.
